Affiliate Disclosure BolognaBites

BolognaBites is an affiliate-supported travel website.

Last updated: October 2026

Some links on this website are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase or booking, BolognaBites may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

Articles that contain affiliate links also carry a short disclosure near the top of the article itself, so the connection is visible before you click any link, not only on this page.

How This Works

Affiliate commissions help support the research, writing, updates, and maintenance of this website.

BolognaBites may earn commissions from selected travel-related partners, such as booking platforms, tour providers, or other travel services.

Editorial Independence

Affiliate relationships do not determine what gets recommended on BolognaBites.

We aim to recommend hotels, tours, classes, attractions, and travel resources based on reader usefulness, destination fit, practical value, and editorial judgment.

Not every link on the site is an affiliate link, and not every partner or service mentioned is included for commercial reasons.

Advertising

In addition to affiliate links, we show display advertising through Journey by Mediavine. Ads are labelled as advertisements and do not influence which places, products or services we recommend. Recommendations follow our editorial standards.

Why This Matters

A destination-focused travel site requires time and ongoing maintenance. Affiliate commissions help support that work while allowing BolognaBites to remain an independent editorial resource.

The FTC says material connections between endorsers and marketers should be clearly disclosed when they might not be obvious to consumers.

The same principle applies under European Union consumer-protection rules and under guidance from the UK Competition and Markets Authority and Advertising Standards Authority: a commercial or affiliate relationship should be disclosed clearly, prominently, and close to the relevant link or recommendation.
